Actually, the "name calling" was really only meant in good fun...I'd hoped that was obvious, but I guess a smiley would have made it clearer. Certainly, Sid's remarks are neither insidious nor
ill-considered.
As to the sarcasm, perhaps it was a little strong, provoked by Sid's implying that the target audiences of financial press (myself included) are somehow less intelligent that those who read trade journals. Trade journals are certainly worthwhile reading, but they are not the difinitive word - they tend to focus on the technology, not the company as a whole. I'm sure Betamax video technology got great reviews in the technical mag's, as it was far superior to VHS technology.
Financial press is also not the difinitive word. I read them for ideas and info, but I never just believe them; I make my own decisions.
