The point of my comments regarding the CEO options was that it represented a pretty large percentage to just one individual (one individual being the CEO).
JCS, no one questioned whether it is a good idea to reward your employees...that is NOT the point in question...but are there no limits? Given the numbers, are the granted options pushing the upper limits? Anyway, the discussion seems to be lost, so here is something else to contribute to this thread:

Home gateway
Pace's Shopping Mate features a wireless link to the home gateway.
Pace Micro Technology is showing its vision of the future of digital television at IBC. Its new set-top box has become a gateway to the networked home, where consumer devices and services interact with each other and the outside world. "Imagine a world where your washing machine automatically requests a new part before it fails," explains Pace CEO Malcolm Miller. "Through interactive digital television and existing home wiring, the essential technology is already in place to make this possible." Pace will demonstrate its range of home networking applications, including its Shopping Mate concept. This hand-held home shopping device is linked wirelessly to the home gateway and enables consumers to connect with their grocery retailer and order goods without interrupting television viewing. The gateway also includes a disk drive, so that viewers can pause and record live programmes without the need for a video recorder. The technology is equally suited to digital satellite, cable, DSL and terrestrial broadcasting. In further news, Pace is also now the only developer supplying both US digital cable network platforms. In a recent deal, it is to supply 350,000 interactive digital set-top boxes to Comcast Cable Communications. Comcast uses both Scientific-Atlanta and Motorola (formerly General Instrument) cable networks. Pace is unique in supplying STBs for both technologies, which together cover over 95% of the US digital cable market. The company is developing a new STB for Comcast's Motorola networks, incorporating DigiCipher II conditional access and a DOCSIS cable modem for high-speed interactive services. Internal disk storage for PVR capability is an option, as is the capacity for high definition television. "This is our second major contract to develop digital cable set-top boxes for the US," says Miller. "Pace will be the first company to deliver volume orders of digital set-top boxes to both the Motorola and Pegasus Scientific-Atlanta networks, which is clear evidence of our expertise in digital set-top box engineering."
