revenue shortfall is not their only problem. i recently ordered my 3rd pc in the last 18 months. the 1st 2 orders went smoothly. this time their tracking system was totally dysfunctional. they identified the wrong ship date as well as the wrong carrier . when i called, they told me that
they had a "computer glitch" and that my order went to manufacturing 8 days late. other calls produced other responses: "it went to manufacturing 4 days ago", "we're not quite sure when it went to manufacturing". imagine my surprise when it arrived that same evening.

i shudder to think how their future systems will "function"
with 4,000 less employees. someone ought to inform them that a "computer glitch" does not cover the case of a total lack of accurate customer information.
