I'm not regularly running Win10 now and that was a different computer. The situation with that machine was that it was a multi-boot for my son for the purpose of gaming and games are optimized to run best with the version of windows currant when they are released and they are finicky about running on the right version.

That machine boots Win7--8.0--8.1--10 to support various games. The first windows license I bought for it was Win7-64 Home Premium, but later learned about the game compatibility issue and that 7-HomePremium would upgrade to Win10-Home which doesn't have as much scheduling flexibility for updates as Win10-Pro. At that point I bought the Win8-64 Pro license that I also used to make installs of 8.1 and Win10 with, but having a Profesional version of Win10 was important for me because of the scheduler issue that the Home version has.

BTW, as mentioned in the previous post, I had difficulty getting an 8.1 installation out of the 8.0 license, but finally did it by using the Windows generic video drivers for the video card since the motherboard didn't have onboard graphics and I only installed LAN support for the motherboard so I could download the windows updates. After all the windows installations were complete, I installed the GeForce graphics and the rest of the motherboard software.
