Some people see a glass half filled with water as a lot of empty space. Feel free to short. But your shorting is a short term thing. Don't argue with people who are holding this long term- especially since you have agreed with the vision that mobile data is going to be very important. Play the market, have fun. But nobody is addressing this market right now. CDPD is a joke. Metricom works well, but is in only limited areas. CDMA Data is in theory great competition to Metricom, but it wont' start rolling out until the end of this year (and that's even a rumor that it will be that soon.) So, it takes awhile for Metricom to roll out its network. How long will it take for competition to get involved? Paul Allen is a big player and has deep pockets. Will metricom still be around when the competition shows up to play? Sure. I'm betting on it. In fact, when the competition does show up, ones with really deep pockets, what are they going to do?
