<<<What is starting to really bother me is that Amati is not ending up with contracts or alliances in this first go around; eg. Alcatel and now Pac Bell. Let's face it, Ascend is the major player in the Internet game.>>>

My first instinct is to say, read the announcements carefully. Are they for large contracts? Or are they for patches of trial-sized rollouts? What are the terms? How soon will they be deploying---and in what numbers? How will Aware benefit from the contracts? If they're getting a 3% licensing fee what will their revenues most likely be? Look at Alcatel. Are they going to license from Amati? (They're negotiating.) Are they going to use Amati in any other way? (They're using consultants.) Will they eventually form a partnering agreement? (Quite possibly.) You can be upset if you want. I know how Amati is negotiating its deals and their theory is to get the very best terms they can and because they have the best technology without even a close second, they're dealing from strength.

I don't think you're alone in being impatient and consequently many of us have been able to add at prices we didn't think we'd see again.

Still long and still patient.
