Even though I can't find it right now, that 47 million has been broken down on this thread dozens of times. Anyone actively following this thread can reasonable be expected to be familiar with the breakdown, seems to me.

This is where we need some honesty. We also need honesty when talking about the United States system ranking "37th". That's utter nonsense by any rational manner, yet you hear it cited daily.

We need some honesty about costs as well -- CBO says 1.3 trillion, then all of a sudden they're talking about < 300B.

But the reality is that "paying for it" for 10 years is a pretty different thing from creating an actuarily sound program for 30 or 50 or 80 years. When you start talking about terms like this it is foolish to discount what has become of Medicare after only 45 years.
