I don't believe that the majority of Americans support massive expansion of deficit spending for government takeover of healthcare of any other programs.

There was support for stimulating the economy with tax cuts after the Clinton recession. President Bush failed to provide adult leadership on spending. Congress failed to rein in spending. Deficits predictably ballooned as spending outstripped receipts.

Most Americans did not seem to support Porkulus. Government pushed it through despite Americans' objection.

The attempt to frame government takeover of healthcare as just as urgent as the takeover of banks and other major industries failed. The American people have had more time to rise up and voice their objection to the destruction of the American medical miracle.
