That will a lawyers picnic with insur company requests for proof of loss. Good point. Reason to photograph the contents of your home and all other property using digital camera, and send a copy to a friend or family member living somewhere else on a CD rom or other digital medium. Given how many servers are in California, probably not as good to upload unless to a service with redundant servers in other places.
