I think that SIII is headed a point or two lower over the next four weeks. SIII is being ravaged at both the bottom end and the middle end of the 2D/3D market. They no longer have competitive product for the mid range 3D market and must sell on price. The Virge family is now selling at costs similar to 64 bit 2D. SIIIs plans to have advanced streaming video products for the PC/TV convergence are nice but won't be a factor until well into next year. The investments in promoting the "S3D Inside" and efforts to stear emerging internet standards have largely failed. Intel is likely to incorporate their own graphics capabilities into the slot 1/2 cpu module which will remove a large portion of the market away from S3. S3 is now the overal market leader but the inability to remain the leader in the mid-range graphics systems leaves them figthting over price with a host of similar performance product. I think that they are not only losing due to price errosion but are losing big on the reseller market and their OEM design-ins are erroding. When you control the largest percentage of the market but have difficulties staying on top of product evolution, there is only one direction sales and earnings can go.

I think SIII may be worth another look as an investment in August or September. By the end of July, I expect the price to drop to as low as 9.
