"Those who question US and Israeli policy do it out of ignorance or envy" U.S. and Israeli policy have become one and the same. Anyone who questions the advisability of tying ourselves so closely to Israel is called a variety of names. Generally the name of choice is "anti-semite" but ignorant and envious are suitable alternatives, I guess. Personally I'm not willing to drink that particular flavor of koolaid, no matter how hard it is pushed by AIPAC, Americans with divided loyalties, and the Christian-Zionists. The U.S. doesn't really get anything out of its relationship to Israel. It's a give-and-take relationship; we give and they take. We would be a lot better off if the U.S. abandoned this particular tar baby but I doubt that will ever happen.
