Just wondering are you aware of that China has 56 ethnic groups (including Han), and about 2 dozens (if I remember correctly) have their own written language, and most of the rest have their distinct dialect, and the majority of those 56 ethnic groups have their own distinct culture, blood ties, one can easily tell by their looks.
For example, YunNan Province (bordered with Myanmar) has more than a dozen distinct ethnic groups, and XinJiang too, has 14 or so Caucasian/white ethnic groups. So where do you draw the line? and do you think they are all supposed to be independent from China?
And one of most famous Chinese poet in 600AD (Tang Dynasty) named Li Bai had lived in Shan Xi province (in the middle of China, by Yellow River) most of his life actually had Caucasian blood (his home town was Xin Jiang, HeTian city) and migrated to inner China, and stayed there for the rest of his life.
And BTW, I forgot to mention one thing about DaLai (I am now eating my own words<g>), China would like to talk with him, and he was the one who refused to talk with China first, and later changed his mind, and set a precondition for the talk. And what is the precondition? he wants NOT ONLY Tibet as identified on the map, he wants the so-called Greater Tibet Area, which includes a vast majority of QingHai Province, and a vast majority of SiChuan province. Yes, it even includes one of the most beautiful scenery spot on this planet - JiuZhai Gou. (http://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/sichuan/jiuzhaigou/page1.htm) And in other words, he wants all the places where has some Tibetans lives. There must be something wrong with him if he thought China would talk with him on this kind precondition.
And the reason for him to do so is not hard to figure out if you know the severe climate of Tibet Plateau.
And now I am completely done with Tibet topic. |
