Well Rich, I did delete those .snm files and then tried to start Messenger again. I got froze up again. I copied back those files and I am ready to try something else. Since I do have Comm backed up to tape, I was wondering what all I could delete and copy back from tape. If I put the plugins and all my mail files into a temporary file and then deleted the whole thing, I should be able to copy back the plugins and mail files after I recopy from tape, RIGHT? PS...I know I will probably loose my cache and history files but no big deal.
