Hi Kirk, Not at all, indeed I'm 100% happy with the spiral, but as I study the spiral I also find newly undiscovered subtleties which I've never seen before... based on the most recent new observation, I saw that the spiral also said to remain short but a rally is imminent, therefore shorting a put against the short contract made the best sense, this strategy would strip an additional 21.3 points from the market during the expected rally... so, on the contrary, I'm not losing faith in the spiral, I'm actually learning how to read it better and take fuller advantage of the spiral trading... From what you post, I see that you really are more interested in the spiral's raw signals (I would now refer to them as raw signals because I've since been able to refine the spiral reading), that's cool, then just continue what you're doing, I'm just enhancing the trading method based solely on the spiral itself... not a problem...
