The application Numbers in iWork reads and writes Excel very well. It does not have some Excel macros and Pivot Tables. But if you don't need them, Numbers is superior to Excel in what it does, in my opinion. Numbers will cost $9.99 for the iPad.

Thanks Jeff. Suppose I get an email with an Excel spreadsheet... could I open that sheet, copy and paste a coulumn into a web app, then copy and paste the results back into the sheet, do some sorting and manipulation of the data save as an Excel doc and pass it on? Simple stuff but repeated 10-15 times a day you want it EASY and fast.

I wouldn't mind at all getting MS out of my home as it is now out of my office.
