Yes, Trinity will book a gain from the SLF deal. They paid for their shares at about $3.25 apiece. I don't know if Irish GAAP rules match U.S. rules on this issue, but once they mark the shares at market value instead of cost, they will book a gain of roughly $.20 per share, depending on the market price of SLF. This will definitely be a one-time, non-recurring, non-cash gain.

I suspect we will see no press release, as this is old news. The settlement was reached on March 6, and the SEC filing that disclosed it was filed on April 22.

The reason it hasn't impacted the stock price is that management has hinted at the 80% settlement figure for the past few conference calls. The $.20 gain in assets was surely priced into the stock some time ago.
