With the exception of a few days I've been living in their home since May. I'm going to stay a couple more weeks to make sure mom is settled in but I'll be here in a flash whenever she needs me. We had an Irish wake for dad and in 3 weeks I've got a surprise party planned. The immediate family, all her friends and neighbors will be here. My brother and brother in law are going to man the grill and I'll be pouring the cocktails with damn little mixer :). When Jr. made that remark and dad smiled - the entire room lit up with smiles. Jr. (AKA Gloop version 1.1 upgrade) was here pushing gramps around in his wheelchair for 6 out of the 8 weeks from June - end of July. He did great with dad. As i type I know I don't sound somber but that's because everything went the way it did. I will miss dad forever but I have no regrets - the end, while hard, was beautiful
