People should not, and scientists do not, believe in evolution the way other people "believe" in a supernatural force.

I made the same point to Michael before having seen yours. So let me add one thing. There are some people who take science and embellish it with beliefs or lose track of how much is proven science and how much is belief to the point where their approach is more like a religion than science. You see this sometimes with environmentalists. I think this has become part of the problem of confusing what is believed and what is known. And sloppy English usage complicates the problem.
