The investment would not have been in T-Bills which is supposedly how the SS funds are supposed to be invested. You have no idea how much any particular person might invest. I certainly have always invested more than the SS maximum each year.

I would think you would have doubted groineel2 having a Mexican gardener who pays more than the maximum SS every year .
