The difference between TOMOs and these POMOs and discount rate actions is they can be withdrawn at any time as opposed to the sledge hammer of a fed funds rate change.

For now, the Fed is accepting all kinds of investment rated crap to keep the credit wheels greased until paper is repriced which we are seeing with some of the LBO deals.
