I skimmed a couple of winger threads and saw some of the cockiness turning to fear. It's a pity that so many people let Cheney scare the crap out of them so badly that they fear they are in mortal danger without neocons in the White House. But that's how Rove levered Bush into office with his two razor-thin wins, scaring the middle into moving away from the "devil" they didn't know and sticking with what they did. It's such a pleasure to watch that tactic hit a wall and go flat.
