FAIRFAX, Va., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Information Analysis Incorporated
(Nasdaq: IAIC) announces an agreement with CACI International Inc
(Nasdaq: CACI) of Arlington, VA that extends the recently announced agreement
between CACI and Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) to provide
advanced Year 2000 solutions.
CA named CACI a business partner and service provider in an August 1997
Agreement that joined CACI's Year 2000 methodology and services with CA's
award winning Discovery 2000 solution, creating a wider and more flexible
array of Year 2000 solutions to commercial and government clients.
Building upon this agreement, IAI and CACI will now pool IAI's unique date
remediation and software conversion resources, CA's Discovery 2000, and CACI's
leading methodology and service offerings to provide a comprehensive,
integrated Year 2000 solution.
IAI and CA announced a worldwide agreement in March to develop, market and
support UNICAST(TM)/2000, IAI's Universal Computer Aided Software Translator,
for CA's 4GL and information retrieval products, CA-ADS, CA-Ideal and
CA-Easytrieve, used by thousands of companies for mission-critical
applications worldwide.
"IAI is pleased that the capabilities of our UNICAST(TM)/2000 product line
have received this recognition by two such respected peers," says Brendan J.
Dawson, President of IAI. "With the mix of expertise and products the three
companies bring to the industry, clients will be assured of obtaining the
best-of-breed Year 2000 solutions on the market."
UNICAST(TM) is an automated date correction and software migration system
that performs conversions at the source code level. It is designed for use in
large volume production environments or solution factories, such as the one at
IAI headquarters, where code from client sites is being made Year 2000
compliant.
Each company provides a vital link in resolving Year 2000 issues. IAI and
CA offer award-winning, end-to-end software solutions, and CACI provides its
Restore 2000(SM) methodology and Year 2000 experienced personnel. Their
combined multi-platform experience in both the commercial and government
sectors -- supported by both service and product offerings -- ensures the
delivery of a Year 2000 solution that meets the high industry standards
formulated by the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA).
"There is a great deal of complexity associated with being Year 2000
compliant. To address this, we have brought together the best combination of
CACI, CA, and IAI products and services as an integrated solution," said
Michael Guido, Senior Vice President in charge of CACI's Year 2000 activities.
"By combining the expertise of the three companies, we can make it possible
for virtually any government and commercial CA client to feel confident that
its Year 2000 compliance needs and issues will be resolved."
CACI brings 35 years of information technology experience, with more than
8 years of experience resolving the Year 2000 challenge, specializing and
focusing on processes and methodology.
