I already explained in simple terms what is meant by "market efficiency". There is nothing "empty" or "nice sounding " about my statement. Its very simple what I said, dont read too much into it. Market is efficient, and has to be for its survival. think of it as a casino where you know that the odds are manipulated. Will you take your money there, of course NOT. Likewise if there was a predictability to those odds, you will offset them rather quickly. A pattern will lose its effectiveness very quickly.in a market where we have 600mil of shares exchange hand everyday.

As far as options, enough literature there to tell you what value it has beyond its" intrinsic" value, and how it has added to liquidity in the equity markets and what additional economic function it performs. Ofcourse it has value. Pull out the quotes on lombard and it will tell you how much value the market has set for it , beyond the intrinsic number.

Lastly, I will never tell you which of your statements were empty---I think it will show disrespect for my own intelligence.

Looking Forward---
