Intel fans: somewhat off-topic post on Norway: Carl, I visited distant cousins near Oslo in 1990. From what I saw and heard, the main challenge they seem to face economically is that things are even more expensive there than in Sweden & Finland, particularly automobiles. The government charges huge tariffs on imported cars. I was only there for 3 days, so I didn't get many impressions, other than they love their King, the farm buildings all had fresh coats of paint, (probably due to government protection of farm product prices), and they are very proud of their beautiful fjords. It's a different culture than America, to say the least, but it was nice in many ways. My "cousins" were doing fine, they just didn't have brand-new cars. And no, they didn't have any computers in the 3 house-holds I visited.
