q long: Nextel is important as a break out of the current CDMA One networks.
Nextel has about 7 million who use its service - the distinction between Nextel and "Partners" is confusing.

Also confusing is the discussion of new spectrum at 700. That may or may not happen. (But whether it happens or not, the logic of Nextel using 1x for data is so compelling that Nextel may well find a way regardless of what happens in next sprectrum bid - comments?)

Sprint will do fine. Verizon will do fine. Nextel (if this happens) will do fine. AT&T will be hanging onto the cliff with its fingernails re: data, no?

Best.
