I don't know, I seem to recall a Democrat saying, "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."

That is a foreign concept to today's Democrats. You're all about bilking the country out of whatever you can get. But some of us are still more committed to the national interest than to our self-interest, with the understanding that benefits to the national interest ultimately affect us all positive.

You know, a "rising tide lifts all boats ..." that sort of thing.
