*...Actually, I blame it on successive GOP state governments defunding and degrading public education....* Oh absolutely, Conservative Christian Nutcases view education as a privilege, not a right, to be provided by white christian teachers to white christian students. Anybody else is just one of those troublesome minority troublemakers and is best just excluded from the education process. It's just a waste of voucher money. Everybody gets a voucher for $24 at the start of the school year to spend anyway they like. What could be more fair? Let the parents home school, or the churches can help too. Heavens, just look at what the Catholics have done already. The Jews have those Yeshivas but God only knows what goes on in there. Maybe we should think about a wall around them too.
