Hats Off to the 2002 Olympic Beret

TORONTO, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Olympians themselves weren't the only
gold medal winners at this year's Salt Lake City Olympics. One of the most
sought after items -- the 2002 Olympic Beret from Roots, the official
outfitter of the 2002 US Olympic Team, was a huge hit with Americans.
Hundreds of thousands of the microfleece chapeau were sold. The largest
quantity sold was through electronic retailer QVC who took over 130,000 orders
and still counting.
In addition to the American team, Roots is proud to have developed team
outfits for the Canadian and British Olympic Teams for the 2002 Winter Olympic
Games in Salt Lake City.
For those who would like to top off their Olympic spirit as a lasting
tribute to the XIX Winter Games, the beret is available through www.roots.com
or by calling QVC at 1.800.345.1515 or online at www.QVC.com.
