Yes - the end points are still a possible point of corrosion - but on the upside you can run PEX continuously from source to destination without a single fitting to leak or corrode - even doing 90 degree bends. So if everything pokes out of the wall - you can simply change the fittings. Or with luck its all under cabinet holes you make in sheetrock - less trouble hiding.

I just put my third coat of mud on the three patches from the leak I had - will have to try my hand with a texture gun next. Two patches are in a closet - one in plain view - so I get a little practice.
