30 years ago I had a visit from a South African friend when they still had Apartheid, I took him for a drive into the interior. He was shocked at viewing the natives in Lillooet. As for Meti, the equivalent in South Africa would be the coloureds, people of mixed blood. Why should Metis have any special considerations?
