MEDI MedImmune: Wal-Mart will not offer FluMist this yr (30.01)
Co announces that Wal-Mart Stores (WMT) has decided not to establish a large-scale, national flu vaccination program this season and, therefore, will not be offering FluMist in its pharmacies this year. Previously, Wal-Mart had intended to offer FluMist to its customers this flu season in select pharmacies after the FDA approved the vaccine in June. "We continue to strive toward achieving our objectives and are reconfirming our previously stated financial guidance of $120 million to $140 million in FluMist-related revenues in this launch year," states MedImmune.

It really makes management look stupid for announcing the Walmart marketing and then screwing up.

I had been checking where you could get FluMist and never saw Walmart on the site. I should have guessed it.

It will be interesting to see how low this takes MEDI. The high volume the last two days says that sellers already knew this was coming.
