Yes, at the high-end which they've already announced, but at the low and mid range, I would have to question the thinking behind that strategy. Sounds like EMC needs more help than DELL.

You probably think this because you own NTAP shares. A person with no bias towards NTAP or EMC, probably views this another way. Be careful. Human beings at times can easily trick themselves to believe something that truly isn't there.

Do you think the Evil Empire can get away with this? It seems to me that this strategy is certain to piss off customers, and the entire value chain. Which creates a strong incentive for alternate methods, or workarounds. Or lawsuits.

It could, but don't forget that companies have disliked Microsoft for years.
