I killed it with a round from a 22 rifle. Sounds like a similar situation here.

If you killed it with one round, I'm OK with that. Peppering it with pellets until it succumbs is another matter.

My point is that escalating this to an arrest on a Federal charge is outrageous.

I am befuddled by the federal charge. I have seen no explanation of it offered. Have you? If you have, please share. If you have no more information than I have, I don't see how you can attribute it to PC or anything else, for that matter.
