NO WAY! They FINALLY got rid of that despised foreign content cap!?! Is it effective immediately or phased in over a number of years?

It always made my blood boil that this policy forced Canadians with RRSP's to invest 70% of their portfolio into 3% of the world's investment opportunities. And during the last few years, it was clear that institutions were able to offer more and more international offerings...but only through approved mutual funds.

The govt must be listening to Don Coxe's view that Canadian dollar will continue to move toward par with US buck, so they have less fear of massive exodus of funds.
