I agree with the buying opportunity part but I gotto tell you: of all the stocks I own, AMDs stock action in face of concrete news is mindboggling.

Charles, I think AMD follows the philosophy of the street a lot: buy on the rumor, sell on the news. In addition Intel is in Palm Springs, banging the war drum with all kinds of new (sort of) chips. Finally AMD has gone from $35 to $45 almost non stop...it had to rest some time before the next leg up.

For a stock that was in a slump for most of '99, it is showing a lot of strength....we will be at $50 fairly soon.

Like someone said, today was a buying opportunity and several of us on the thread took advantage of it.
