Your strategy is fine as long as you have a plan in place. If you have your entry and exit points set thru buy stops and sell stops, and are willing to stick to it--------. Easier said then done.

IMO, if the stock drops but stays over the 142 or so support level, one can jump into it if it starts going up, provided the fundamentals of the market, especially bonds yields dont change. If they change, to heck with the buy and hold bail out, and stay out until it stabilizes.

Tuesday will be especially critical.

You are right about market nervousness though.
