[Comment: Amati not in on the first round..]
>>But Amati isn't include in the 1st go-around (ASND) and I suspect Amati
turned Ascend down though it's my guess. I said to J Rector before Amati is like a boy
with a nice toy but refuses to share (note this is only imho), not a good biz idea, NSCP
gave it away to start out and Apple had it and loses it (again this analogy is only imho).>>

I dont agree... When there are not ENOUGH quality players to satisfy
the demand, the best and last ones standing (available) get top dollar. I dont agree with giving it away at drastic discounts on the onset in this situation.

You cant compare this to NSCP where a competing product can be put together overnight. In this case a foothold must be taken much more quickly. Puting together working designs and circut boards and testing take much more time than software.

You cant compare to AAPL either. Oh... I take that back... you can... back in the days when there were just IBM and AAPL. -Not a saturated computer market in terms of vendors. Apples survival was much easier in those days. And so will be Amati's. That scenerio I do see as being the same. IMHO - Eric
