I'd also like to say thanks for the great post. I'm looking for something to rent for tomorrow night, something that will keep me awake. New Year's Eve usually means Dad Picks Up Son(s) From Party at Some Ungodly Hour, so I especially appreciate the dvd recommendations. I was leaning towards The Last King of Scotland. I thought you might enjoy this review of Eastern Promises: "An orgy of slit throats, lopped digits and a naked fight scene that will tattoo itself on to your brain."
