The hope of the moderate Obama voter is that he is very practical and has a long view on the country. His campaign showed an impressive large picture ability, not swayed by the moment or a need for immediate gratification. Whether he can control the wild-eyed part of the Senate remains to be seen, but right now, he shows enormous restraint. I don't think he will gamble his legacy in the beginning with anything half-cooked and so sure to inflame people. I am knocking on my desk wildly right now. Both for the above, and because it's bad luck to think ahead like this!!!!
