Hindu spiritual leader terms Pope's visit as "conspiratorial"
Jagatguru and Pope don't see eye to eye on matters religious

Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalanand Saraswati of Puri, Orissa, has
strongly opposed the forthcoming visit of the Pope to India, alleging that it was
part of an "international conspiracy to make India a Christian country." The guru
said on Wednesday that "the Hindu civilization is being dishonored and
disgraced at the hands of foreigners."
