Since I got my degree in econometrics, I feel qualified to point out there is one statement he made that he wishes he could take back. He says his models don't know we're at war.
That is patent BS. Since his models are based on activity that is a result of human behavior, and human behavior has a psychological component, it stands to reason that any activity post 10/11 carries with it the weight of "war psychology". As a result, his indicators will show that a "war psychology" has taken hold....hence, his model does indeed know we're at war.
