There won't be any change with the "Dems are terrorist lovers!" yokels, but they don't represent the whole Republican party.

Isn't there a danger that this group *will* be very disproportionately representing the Republicans in Congress, at the expense of their relative moderates? I thought the collective wisdom was that the extremes had profited by the increased stridency of their campaign.

Hence there may not be so many moderates left who wish to deal, and those who do will suffer from the attacks of their own side (and likely risk deselection in their next party nomination round).
