Software name OpenWave (OPWV 30.41 -1.05) could also feel some impact. 14-Mar-01 12:09 ET Nextel Fallout : Nextel (NXTL 15 3/8 -5 1/16) warning sends investors fleeing from wireless provider space. Among the names being hit are AT&T Wireless (AWE 19.29 -0.76) and Sprint PCS (19.23 -1.04)... Could also see Western Wireless (WWCA), Verizon Communications (VZ) and United States Cellular (USM) impacted. 14-Mar-01 11:52 ET Nextel Comms (NXTL) 16 5/8 -3 13/16 (-18.7%): Comes under heavy selling pressure after announcing that it expects Q1 results to be impacted by slowing business purchases, downsizing and higher costs. The wireless telecom provider is predicting a 15% sequential decline in new subscribers for the qtr, as well as a 15% sequential decrease in operating cash flow.
