Understood, I have a few patch stocks like that, to whom I owe some loyalty via monetary rewards.

Don't know if I would throw the whole article out for one inaccuracy, when there are ample substitutes some of which you mentioned to make the writers point.

Speaking of the writers point. I find it a valid view, though likely very long term, but also with serious caveats. Dozen years ago folks were forecasting the end of the USA based on our burgeoning debt.
USA switched course and avoided that, bringing their long prognostications to nought.

USA can do the same with JP's prognostication. So it's something to watch, like an indicator, but not cause to build a bomb shelter. There are always systemic problems and always fixes. No problem, till we run out of viable solutions and flexibility.
