Just goes to show what a big deep mystery science and scientists are for the vast majority of Americans.

But like PJ O'Roarke says China is coming on line. They all want cars too, so do the Indians, and Malaysians and the Africans and everyone else.

Then head out on OUR freeways and see how many environmentalists are willing to save 20% of fuel use simply by going 60mph instead of 80mph. The sacrifice means on a 20 mile commute you lose what... 4 minutes!!! What a sacrifice!!!

FORCED to spend 4 more minutes ensconced in rich Corinthian leather while entertained by a TV or Stereo or on the phone making money. My buddy will turn on his air conditioning if the temperature exceeds 76° and I think he's not unique. I have to wear a jacket in his car in the summer.

We make pretty good role models for the rest of the planet.
