Yes, NTAP has been outperforming. Not just compared to the market, but within the sector. From the 2000 highs, till April 2001, NTAP seriously underperformed EMC. Then, from the April low, till that low was retested in June, they did about the same. Since early July, NTAP has outperformed, in both the dips and the rallies. IMO, the reason is that NTAP is seeing less pricing pressure, their margins are holding up better.

As of today, all the various NTAP LEAPs I hold are in the black. I've sold my higher-cost lots (at a loss). Since we are getting near the end of the year, and any further sales will result in cap gains, and I am completely off margin, I feel no pressure to do any more selling. If we dip now, I can buy more, probably beginning at 10 or 8 (that's not a prediction).

If we are going to see any tax-loss selling this year, it should start happening soon. IMO, anthrax was the second shoe dropping, and the market shrugged it off. I think we may have had October a month early, this year.
