That is the huge influx of foreigners into our country with values significantly different then the old fashioned Yankee ingenuity and hard work ethic We have always had that problem. My Irish/German/ ancestors were looked down upon by the English for that very reason. The problem we have with it today is the curse of multiculturalism. It encourages this value split. Based on recent history, our best source of immigrants who will take our values are Asians. But there is no really good solution to this problem. We need the immigrants.
