I agree with Dowd, and am repelled by Coulter's politics. The way that Coulter advances the eliminationist viewpoint is dangerous and irresponsible. There is, to my mind, a core of right wing thought that is steadily and methodically framing dissenters from the left as the Other, and marking them (us) as a threat to the State that must be dealt with by stern measures. You may have noticed how much of right wing thought is dominated by these eliminationist notions. At some point, thought becomes action, and then we are through as a republic. We had best rein this in while we still can.
