Let's hear it for Hillary! This surprises the hell out of me. Why does it surprise you, Bill? It's a classic example of manipulative triangulation, and you fell for it. Getting soft in your old age? <ggg> Billary are staking out a position on security and foreign policy issues in tune with the Administration's because they recognize that criticism of those policies will be politically deadly in '04. They want to set themselves apart from the Pack of Ten Dwarves. Very shrewd move, in my view. Expect to seem more of this kind of left-handed "support" from Billary on military and security issues as the polls show W's popularity decreasing. But please don't be fooled about Billary's true intentions. They are not friends of the military. By highlighting support for the President, they hide their security policy failures behind a wave-the-flag show of self-serving support on this one point.
