Paul, unlike most investors I do not have a short memory span, which sometimes works against me as it makes me hesitate in participating in a sector or company whose tidal wave crashed us a year or two ago. That said and along with the fact that the SRAM and DRAM companies are not without foreign competition who are capable of dumping products at a loss at a moments notice either to gain market share or flush out old technology inventory makes me avoid the SRAM and DRAM makers.
The Logic chip and PLD chip makers are another thing. I like LSI Logic, ALtera and Xilinx in the long run.
